On episode 6 of the DRB Podcast, we talked about the best time of our childhoods. I may be biased but I like to think that the early 2000s was the best time to grow up. When looking back, my favorite times as a kid was when it was a hot summer day and my dad and I would run errands on the weekends. We would be in his truck listening to Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, The Who, and a bunch of other rock bands. In between the driver and passenger seat, he had a white basket with a bunch of old books and magazines. My two favorite reads were Tubby Turtle by Helen Wing and an old doll catalog (it was in black and white). I loved celebrating Halloween and Christmas, but if I had to relive a day from my childhood, I would choose one of those days.
As I said in the podcast, I really liked watching Cartoon Network. I loved pretty much all the shows that they had on, Adventure Time, The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, Codename: Kids Next Door, The Amazing World of Gumball, Dexter’s Laboratory, Chowder, and MAD to name a few. It was really nice to be able to talk about nostalgic things on the podcast.
