When the prospect of making a podcast was first introduced, I was a little nervous. I had no previous experience with the workings of one and thought it would be really hard. At the time I was still breaking out of my shell and thought that I wouldn’t be able to provide good content or knowledge. Daniel and Brandon also knew each other (and, knew radio) for a while, and I still felt really new and inexperienced–especially when it came to the radio aspect, I have not taken my radio classes yet and so the thought of me being on the actual radio was mind-boggling and a little scary. However, when the podcast aired for the first time, I was really excited to hear my voice on it. It definitely felt unreal.
Actually recording the episodes were filled with a lot of jokes and laughter. I really enjoyed getting to know Daniel and Brandon better and I feel that we all understand each other well. Even though I was nervous that I wouldn’t fit, the both of them instantly made me feel part of the DRB friendship. I am sad to see the podcast and my video classes go but I know that my journey at CCCC is not yet over. Radio, I am coming for you next!
So with that, I think it is time to say goodbye. Thank you to the DRB listeners, Mr. Brucker, and my fellow DRB hosts. This was truly an unreplaceable experience.
For a final time: cut the cameras.
